Cookies and technical storage
Session mechanisms help maintain editor authentication and secure access. The cookies used and their duration may vary by service.
External services
Following a link to a third-party service may allow that service to set cookies on its own website. Consult its policy for the available choices.
Your settings
Your browser allows you to inspect and delete cookies. Deleting authentication cookies may require you to sign in to the editorial workspace again.
Purpose of these mechanisms
A cookie is a small piece of information stored by a browser. Similar mechanisms may use browser storage. They can recognise a session or protect a service; they do not, by themselves, grant access to files on your device.
Editor sign-in
Cloudflare Access uses the CF_Authorization cookie to check permission to enter the protected workspace. It relates to signing in there; readers do not need an account to read public pages. Its expiry depends on the access session. Additional technical cookies may accompany authentication or security checks.
Duration and choices
Some cookies expire with the session and others on a date set by their provider. Your browser displays stored cookies, their domains and expiry. You may delete or block them; blocking necessary mechanisms can prevent sign-in or some security checks.
Analytics and advertising
These authentication mechanisms are not advertising cookies. If optional tools requiring consent are added to the website, their activation must be accompanied by the required information and choices. Browser settings are separate from any choice offered on the website.
Questions and updates
For questions about a cookie you observe, contact the firm with its name and the relevant page, without sharing its value or your credentials. This page will be revised as the tools used evolve.
